Same pickups but over driven.
This is a sample of Brandonwound pickups. There is a PAF style in the bridge and 50’s style in the middle and neck position.
Here’s some 70’s style pickups. The neck is an original 72 strat pickup. The middle and bridge are Brandonwound Pickups.
These are the same pickups as the 70’s style but overdriven.
These are great PAFs. These particular PAFs were hand wound. The original PAFs were not hand wound. The difference between the bridge and neck is like night and day. The bridge is around 8.1-2 K with and ALNICO 5 magnet and the neck is around 7.6k with an Alnico 2 magnet.
Here is a cool pickup. I built this bridge with two separate coils on the same spool to create the noiseless effect but wound less for a cleaner tone but to also take the twang away. It worked. You should have heard the other pickup before I switched it out! The neck is a Brandonwound pickup built like a “Traditional Tele neck”.
PAF set with the neck polarity switched of out of phase in the center position.
Texas Tone NOS wire from 1967 sampled through distortion.
